Capital One’s loyalty card program needed to stand out from standard competitive offerings by targeting customers seeking exclusive experiences.
Partnering with Vivid Seats, we built the Capital One Entertainment online marketplace providing access to ticket-purchasing for over 500,000 exclusive live event experiences.
Millions of cardmembers now redeem points through the online marketplace, creating memories of a lifetime while building loyalty to Capital One.
Scalable design system for the future
Vivid Seats provided initial interface designs to RTI which we converted to Atomic Design patterns that provided consistency across our product and engineering teams. Implementation time was significantly reduced as we enhanced efficiency and improved quality.
Finding your dream seats
Using our agile methodology and proprietary engineering tools, we integrated multiple complex banking and ticketing systems to deliver the online marketplace. Allowing cardmembers to search event dates, and select the venue, section and seat location on venue-specific maps ensures users could get the seats they wanted.
Predicting customer needs
The marketplace contained comprehensive listings of thousands of venues with full descriptions, venue layouts, and ticket pricing. To manage this complexity, we implemented a global search function and prioritized dynamic menu items based on previous search results. This allowed cardmembers to access events and tickets quickly and easily.

Redeeming points made easy
Our teams developed a custom eCommerce experience, integrating multiple systems, and delivering secure transactions at checkout. The easy-to-use interface allowed cardmembers to use their loyalty rewards points and credit card payments to purchase event tickets.
